If you want to use your own CS 1.6 client, you can change the server list manually:

Download MasterServers.vdf (.ZIP)
1 Download archive from button above or copy code below.
2 Go to your game directory: platform/config/
3 Replace MasterServers.vdf (and rev_MasterServers.vdf).
4 Set files to Read-Only
